AestheFill is based on polylactic acid, which has been successfully used in medicine for over 20 years, and is a completely self-absorbing material that is used to make surgical sutures. After studying the natural properties of the polymer, scientists determined its chemical and physical stability, the lack of protein components, which became a frequent cause of allergic reactions.

The preparation uses spherical particles of polylactic acid, called thermoplastic and biodegradable polylactide, which is obtained from corn or potato starch by polymerization. Structurally, polylactic acid is a ball, which in turn contains L-lactic and D-lactic acid with the same chemical and physical parameters.

Gel biodegradation occurs independently: as a result of hydrolysis, polylactide gradually breaks down into lactic acid and glycogen, and then is naturally excreted from the body.
As soon as the product enters the skin, it begins to actively fill the voids that arise as a result of skin aging and the loss of its own structural proteins. At the target site, polylactide molecules start the immediate process of tissue renewal and collagen formation, thanks to which the volume is fully replenished and even deep wrinkles are smoothed out. This is due to the special properties of AestheFill molecules, which, thanks to their porous structure, ensure the most effective collagenogenesis. Fibroblasts (skin cells) begin to work both outside and inside the microspheres.

In addition, polylactic acid actively stimulates the production of hyaluronic acid by mature skin cells. The uniqueness of the filler lies in the fact that after the breakdown and complete removal of its main active substance from the body (this process takes an average of 3 to 4 months), the place where the gel is placed is not left with a void, but with new collagen and elastin. Therefore, the effect will last for a long time – until the breakdown of collagen and elastin begins under the influence of age factors. At this point, the procedure can be repeated.

In the AestheFill hydrogel, polylactide has a porous structure with finely dispersed particles of the same size, which ensures even distribution of the gel under the skin. Many balls appear to “roll on the floor” and fill all voids without needing to be corrected.

When is AestheFill recommended?

Among the main indications for the use of AestheFill hydrogel are:

  • lipodystrophy of the face, neck, cleavage and hands, which leads to loss of volume, sagging and sagging skin, loss of elasticity and density;
  • depressive areas on the face – sunken cheeks, temples, the presence of a nasolacrimal groove;
  • deep wrinkles and folds (in the corners of the eyes, around the mouth, nasolabial and pre-maxillary furrows);
  • atrophic and postoperative scars;
  • violation of the shapes and contours of the face (asymmetry, loss of volume).

The product is injected directly into the areas of the largest lesions or over the entire face if the skin looks flabby, dehydrated and atonic. The treatment ends with a light massage that evenly fills the inner layers of the dermis with the gel.

When is the result visible?

The result becomes noticeable already after the first procedure. Wrinkles are smoothed out, creating a visible volume. True, a week after the AestheFill injections, a slight loss of volume is still possible (the drug solvent – water – will be removed from the manipulation area), but this will not affect the quality of the result.

Advantages of AestheFill

Polylactic acid and AestheFill based on it are safe for the body. As mentioned above, polylactic acid is naturally excreted from the body. This means that the patient should not be afraid of health problems related to the presence of non-degradable polymers in the body.

The product does not migrate to adjacent tissues. All polylactic acid molecules introduced into the dermis remain in the desired layer and tightly maintain the volume in the injection zone.

An additional advantage is also the correct geometric shape of polylactic acid particles, which prevents clogging of small vessels during administration.

AestheFill is also supported by the fact that during the procedure, the doctor can suspend the desired concentration and perform work on different levels of the dermis (deep and superficial).

After the treatment, there is no need to perform complex care activities. It is important not to touch the injection sites, to avoid infecting infections, which can cause complications. It is necessary to refrain from using cosmetics, do not go to the sauna, solarium or swimming pool for a while, in addition, if possible, they will not appear in the cold or wind if the injections are made in the cold season, or in the heat, if in summer.

If you play sports, the intensity of physical activity should be reduced after the procedure. When you recover, you should give up alcohol or tobacco.
